Orginaiztion...

I am not a very orginaized person.  The reason I bring this up is I have about 2 weeks to make as many amigurumi to ship off to Resobox Gallary, and I lost the most important part of my tools.

My sewing needles I use to assemble and detail my ami.  I cant use normal needles their eyes are to small for the yarn and their sharp points can cause yarn splitting, and my big yarn needle is to big for my detailed work.  I found the perfict inbeteen yarn/sewing at one point (cant even remember where I bought them -.-) it had 2 blunt and 2 sharp tipped needles that where prefect.

Now my tools are not in disary, mind you just not very orginized.  My needles are always in a capsule case with a tiny set of plyers and my hand made eye threader and tweezers.  Normally I tuck this capsule into the box I keep my hooks and scissors and misc other hook sized tools, when I know I will not need them in the forseeable hour+.

I have checked all the likely spots they may have gotten misplaced, under the couch, in the couch, under the dog, under the cat, in my hook box, in the box I was keeping my last 2 projects, in the bag of yarn used to make the ravenclaw scarf.

I am going to try and do my best with the needles I bought for my Octo class at Animeggroll Nov 8th.  I bought the safe big eye yarn needles made of plastic with a big ball on the tip (not even a blunt end but a ball) in case we did get any younger non adults joining, so I will not be able to get the detail I want out of it.  I will be desperately looking as I want to detail my dragon I am working on right now its supost to be a celestial/stary dragon but with out a sharp point needle (with an eye I can thread yarn threw) I wont be able to do the stitch work I need.

How do you guys organize your tools, and do you find they randomly go on wild adventures when you need them most only to turn up after you have done a work about with out that particular tool?

Amigurumi Exhibition in NY Dec 12 2014- February 28, 2015

RESOBOX Galler in New York will be featuring an amigurumi display Dec 12 2014- February 28, 2015.

RESOBOX is a gallery the prominently displays Japanese art or Japanese influenced arts.  I wished I lived closer as the event they are doing sounds amazing and I would love to visit and see all the amazing work everyone put into the show, maybe pull some inspiration form it.  Most of my amigurumi is heavily influenced by Japanese culture, you know besides the fact that amigurumi itself is a Japanese crochet art form.  The ball style animals like my unicorn and cat pattern where heavily influenced by Japanese children shows and anime.

I will be working my fingers off to get a box full of little critters all made up to ship off to them.  I only have two weeks to work before I need to ship them so they get there before the deadline!!

I am super exicted that I will be one of the many crochet artist that has the chance to displaying their work.   They will price everyone's items for consignment so if something sells I can say I had my work sold at a gallery event.  The split means I wont be making much at all just barely enough to cover the materials and shipping but I think it will be well worth the press of having my work at their event.

I wish I had know about it earlier so I could have been working on items for the even in between birthday and Christmas stuff.  I plan on filling up on medium flat rate box (USPS)

Pumpkim decorating contest!!

So Animeggroll is having its 4th anniversary party this weekend.

They are doing a anime themed pumpkin decorating contest again but they added a no carved/cut up in any way rule this year I decided to crochet my submission.  I finished it yesterday and I FORGOT to take photos of it before I took him in.

I choose to make Mato from the anime Fairy Tail he pops up doing the grand magic games arc as the Host of the games.  His catch phrase is 'Kabo' which is Japanese and short for kobocha which means pumpkin.

I am slightly dispointed with how he came out I wish I had been able to make his eyes cleaner.

I will try to get a photo of him up soon.

Ok here is Mato hanging out with his favorit Fairy Tail member Erza, and Lucy just jumped in the shot to be there.
