I have finally finished this one. I am not happy with the eyes at all. I made a templet to use to sponge the paint on and that worked well, its just painting on black is not easy or forgiving. Unlike the last pony I did, this one had different eyes more almond shaped with a slit pupil. I had done a crochet version of the helmet but it was just way to bulky so I decided the helmet, cutie mark, and necklace would all have to be done in felt.
Doing it that way makes it so the helmet and necklace are both removable.
Since I could not find a pattern for this pony I mashed up bits from the Apple Jack I did and free handed the rest. I really like how the wings came out but you cant see that from the photos it is so hard to get a good photo of black yarn. I am hoping my niece loves it, as her birthday party is next weekend.
