Some Christmas items finished
I am thinking of keeping the tan one for myself its a soft alpaca wool blend, and the stitch work I did doesnt 'show' as much as it does on the other bands. These are all versions on my Winter head band pattern used as a base. Not sure who is getting which (if any of my giftee's are reading this feel free to 'claim' one) but I hope they like them as I put a lot of work into making them all unique.
Undecided if I will block this one or not, I tried a new stitch combo of chains and trebles to get this look.

3D-2D Cat
Yet an other addition that will be heading to ResoBox soon.
I got the idea from a post I saw over on reddit where a guy's 2 kids asked him to crochet dolls they drew for their soon to be sister. I wanted to keep the 2D feel, while making this kitty 3D, I wanted to do 4 legs but it looked to crowded so I settled for front and back. I drew a quick 30 second sketch (below) to give me an idea of what I wanted to make. I am happy with how it turned out.

Resobox Amigurumi 2017/2018 FOURTH Annual Amigurumi Exhibition
I will be participating it the 4th Annual Amigurumi Exhibition at Resobox Gallary in New York again.
This year I am sending mostly small items, octo's, dumbo octo's, and a few other miscellaneous amigurumi. I got Linda (aka my mom) to come and get some good shots of what I have finished at this moment to send. She also helped me with pricing and tagging everything which is so much help because I always procrastinate doing that and have to rush it last minute previous years.
I hope to get at least 50-51 peices finished, at the moment I am at 31 peices
If these guys go over well I can chart out and whip up a written pattern for some of them. I changed up the frill/tenticals on them so they would have alot of variation. I am loving the Dumbo Octo's almost as much as just the plain Octo's quick and cute.
I haven't made anything really intricate to ship, the dragon at the top has been on consignment but I pulled it to send to New York just to see if it will sell. I am debating on if its worth it to make some chibi dragons to send as I have gotten a few people asking if its ok to sell some at the same event.
On that note -- I have had a few people asking me about selling items made from my patterns. Flat out, if you make it, you can do what ever you want with the finished item just don't claim the patter/design as your own. Sell it, trade em, build a bonfire and sacrifice them to chthulu, make R-rated stop-motion movies, what ever floats your boat -.0
My patterns are just an other tool, like you are borrowing a crochet hook I would not expect you to give me a cut of any profits on the items you made from it or tell you what you can or cant do because you used my hook. I also would LOVE if you tagged me as the pattern designer but that is not necessary. I do also love seeing everyone's finished projects, and takes on my patterns so feel free to share photos!

Fairy Tail vest progress
So this has been wadded up sitting on the back of my couch for over a month waiting for me to get it blocked. Due to my constant struggle with depression I kept putting it off, as this is suppose to be a 'me' project and I want it to be a happy project. I decided that waiting would just keep putting it off till the project got lost or packed away and forgotten.
After it dries I will still need to sew up the sides and decide if I want to add a trim, and if so in what color(s), and maybe add a pannel on the sides depending on how it sized out.

Winter Headband *Pattern*
One of the things I got requests for this christmas is headbands to keep peoples ears warm with out giving them hat hair.
This is what I came up with, a textured headband that can be made wider or slimer by adding/subtracting rows.
I worked this one up in LionBrand Mandala Genie.
Get your copy of the pattern here.

What has been on my hook....
So I just finished a commision for a Skull Beanie.
Outside of paying work, I have officaly started hooking up my Christmas gifts.
I dont have alot of planned projects because I want to make sure the people I am hooking for actully want/need somedthing I can make for them so I dont just drownd them in scarf's/mitts/hats.
This is the commision hat, niece Jordan is modling it for me.
This is a minecraft creaper hat. Worked in C2C to give it that pixaled look the game has.
This is a Solomon's Knot scarf, lacy light weight but still warm made up in a fuzzy yarn (mill end no lable looks like shaw in a ball).

Happy Birthday Wayne!!
So I suck at keeping secrets. I have already given my hubby most of his gifts as I got them.
But this gift has taken me a while to finish and set up. The cloudy white stuff is the sealant and glue we used to decoupage the surface with comic book images.
I had alot of help from my wonderful sister with this project I cant thank her enough with out her lep this would still be unfinished. We reclaimed parts of a vanity, and resurface a spare desk to fill in the back wall with a L shaped space to do lego things. We got a bluetooth speaker/light fixtur to hang over the area and light up the shelving. Only 3 shelfs are set up just to give an idea of what can be done, I do have more brackets and shelving so he can change it up how ever he likes.
Besides the desk/lamp his other gifts are - 3 mini fig's, 2000 lego's, and six16x32 lego boards. Oh and a Pokeball phone charger!! Not pictured cuz I havent gotten a photo of him using it yet.

WIP- Birthday present
So instead of a crochet post, I am doing a creative post. My hubbys birthday is coming up and he is not all that enthused with yarn gifts so I am building him a full wall shelving and L shaped desk so he can display his lego sets, figures, books, what-not.
I plan on papering the top of the desk with panels cut out from his collection of comic books that he is willing to part with. So right now I am taking staples out of books as delicatly as I can.
Pro tip -- Have a good light, a nail file, and if you dont want to get ink all over gloves. I only had one of these things and probly should have gotten/used the other two.
Prepainted the desk tops with a matte black just in case I miss a spot while papering the top it will not stand out (atleast that is what I am hoping for).
Going to recruit some child labor to help me with cutting up all the comics, and picking out the best pannels. She is a pro, but more of a Batman fan when I will be hualing over more Spiderman, X-men, Superman stuff.
Will post more later when I have more progress done!

Crochet Blocked...
I am still working on the Fairy Tail shrug!! I am just getting a bit of crochet block/burnout.
To fight that off I have been making up some Mini Octo's that will hopefully be going to the Japanese festival this year. Pictured below is what I had finished (semi finished they need stuffing and closing) by sunday while I was at gaming.
So while I was out this weekend I noticed my local Wall-e-world had thrown their Lion Brand Mandal on clearance and decided to treat myself. I picked up three skeins of Spirit (top, bottom right 2), two skeins of Genie (left bottom and mid), and one skein of Valkyrie.
No real plan's yet on what I am going to make with them (give me ideas!!) but I could not pass the deal up. While I was spending craft money I also picked up 2 other items that I hope will make crocheting easier.
On the left is a silicon yarn ring, it can hold up to 3 strands at a time and has 3 different interchangeable size plates for crochet thread to worsted weight. On the right is a stitch/row counting abucas bracelet, not sure it will work as the stitch marker ring on the larger beads seems to be a bit to large and skips around which could throw off your count if you dont notice it move.

Thank you all!!
Every time my phone dings that I got a message from paypal I smile. I wanted to give a shout out to everyone who has helped support my crochet obsession by either buying my patterns or ordering a commission.
I never expected that when I picked up yarn an a hook so many years ago I would be writing and selling my own patterns, and it still amazes me every time I see I sold an other. So as my thanks to all of you on June 20th 2017 I am doing a freebie event again. To celebrate my birthday and all of you I, you can get one of my pay patterns from my Ravelry shop for free with the promo code 'HappyBday' on June 20th 2017. The code will only be active for the 24 hours of June 20th so remember to come back!

Finished
Ok it's finished! The beanie is a simple hdc in the round starting with 8 sitchs, working increases for the first 5 rounds, the just hdc till row 11, work 12-13 in an alternating front/back post ribbing.
The beard is just alternating rows of bobble and sc, with a chain 5 in the middle of the 3rd bobble row, and when working the last sc row do bobble stitch 3 times in the chain for a little mustache.
I need to get my laptop back so I can reload all my software and get back to writing out patterns (my phone auto corrects any crochet terms into other words) and be able to get back to my fairy tail piece I was working on.

New Pattern in progress
Spring is here which means tank tops are coming back out. I wanted to make a cover up themed by one of my favorite manga's FairyTail by Hiro Mashima.
This is the back pannel of the piece, the FairyTail Guild emblem worked in filet crochet.
I have not tested it yet just finished working up the chart, I still need to work up a sample and figure out how I want to finish the front of it.

MLP Nightmare Moon Finished
I had done a crochet version of the helmet but it was just way to bulky so I decided the helmet, cutie mark, and necklace would all have to be done in felt.
Doing it that way makes it so the helmet and necklace are both removable.
Since I could not find a pattern for this pony I mashed up bits from the Apple Jack I did and free handed the rest. I really like how the wings came out but you cant see that from the photos it is so hard to get a good photo of black yarn.
I am hoping my niece loves it, as her birthday party is next weekend.
